We’re on the lookout for a highly proficient Senior Rust Engineer to join our dynamic team at OpenTensor, an innovative blockchain technology company. In this role, you’ll be a key player in advancing Bittensor’s blockchain infrastructure, leveraging your skills to elevate scalability, security, and overall performance within our decentralized network.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and optimize critical components within Bittensor’s Rust-based blockchain system.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and uphold high-performance and secure blockchain protocols.
- Conduct thorough code reviews, contributing to the ongoing enhancement of coding standards within the engineering team.
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and maintainability concerns in the codebase.
- Collaborate closely with blockchain architects to convert abstract concepts into reliable and effective Rust code.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and Rust advancements to keep Bittensor’s blockchain at the forefront of innovation.
Requirements:
- Extensive expertise in Rust programming language, particularly in systems-level development.
- A track record of successfully advancing decentralized systems and blockchain protocols.
- Solid understanding of consensus algorithms, cryptography, and best practices in blockchain security.
- Previous hands-on experience with blockchain frameworks and libraries.

- Annual Salary Range: $118,000 – $500,000 USD
